Lancashire group of FCN was formed in 1999 and was able to help many farming families through the foot and mouth outbreak of 2001 and again in 2007, and also a multitude of other problems in between and to the present day.
Our volunteers will visit on farm or will talk by phone if you prefer. We will try to help you through difficult time or just listen if you want a confidential ear.
Some of our volunteers have a lifetime of farming experience and all are aware of the difficulties that farmers are currently experiencing. We have good relations with other organisations such as:
Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute (RABI)
ARC-Addington Fund
Citizens Advise Bureau (CAB)
Tenant Farmers Association (TFA)
and can access Farm Business Advice.
