Sponsored Walk Raises Over £10,000
The sun shone on the walkers taking part in the event held in Wharfedale which was organised by the Tenant Farmers Association to raise funds for FCN. It was an ideal opportunity to see at first hand the challenges presented by the upland terrain and to recognise the importance of providing a network of volunteers to support farmers during difficult times.
Over £10,000 was raised by sponsorship and the auction – a magnificant achievement – thank you to everyone who walked and to everyone who supported the walkers.
And the biggest vote of thanks goes to Hannah and her colleagues at the TFA who organised the whole thing and ensured that it was such a success.
We even have a poem written especially to support those taking part.
If you are unable to walk but would like to support the cause with a donation, then please send your cheque to the TFA, made payable to Farm Crisis Network or go online and donate via the Just Giving.
