Christopher Jones MBE
We are very pleased to announce that our Honorary President, Christopher Jones, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List announced on Saturday 11 June 2011.
As you all know, Christopher has been a lifelong contributor to the agricultural world with particular emphasis on farming with Christian principles.
Together with colleagues from the Agricultural Christian Fellowship (ACF) and the Arthur Rank Centre, he formed Farm Crisis Network in 1995 where he remained the driving force for 12 years.
Since 2007, Christopher has focused on examining the many issues affecting agriculture in our rapidly changing world and interpreting their causes and outcomes from a Christian perspective. We are very grateful for his on-going support and appreciate his wise counsel.
George Dunn, Chairman of our Board of Trustees said: “We are enormously proud of Christopher. His untiring dedication to the plight of farmers is an inspiration to us all. His vision for a national support network for farming families in need has provided great comfort to thousands of farming people over the years. This recognition of his dedication is thoroughly deserved”.
