Farm Crisis Network Extends To Warwickshire
A new FCN group in Warwickshire was launched on Thursday 12 March 2009 by Lord Plumb at Stoneleigh and attended by representatives of the Church, the National Farmers Union, health authorities and local rural organisations.
Until now, anyone in need of help has been able to talk to FCN volunteers from neighbouring counties however there are now seven locally based people who are trained and ready to provide a service across the whole of the old county of Warwickshire.
“Last year, we received some 30 calls from farming folk in Warwickshire seeking our support,” said Rev Sarah Brown, Executive Director of Farm Crisis Network. “When people are faced with difficulties, they prefer to turn to local people who are more likely to understand their problems.” she added.
