Farming Help Appeal continues
The Farming Help charities, including FCN, have so far rasied over £40,000 from their appeal run in conjunction with Farmers Weekly, to raise much needed funds to help those in the farming community who are facing hardship and difficulty, and to raise awareness of the support available. The appeal has the backing of NFU, CLA, TFA and NFYFC.
For many in farming, 2007 was a tough year: – low product prices, bad weather and flooding, poor harvest yields, Foot & Mouth Disease, Avian Flu and Bluetongue. The Farming Help charities have been experiencing very heavy workloads which are anticipated to continue in 2008 due to the ongoing impact of movement restrictions, the continued threat posed by Bluetongue and financial problems exacerbated by recent events.
If you would like to make a donation to the appeal you can do so online by clicking here or by cheque, made payable to ‘Farming Help Appeal’ and sent to: Farming Help Appeal, c/o RABI, Shaw House, 27 West Way, Oxford OX2 0QH Remember there may be tax benefits to businesses who make charitable donations.
The Farming Help charities will channel any donations directly to their work.
