FCN at Launch of Prince's Countryside Fund
The Prince of Wales, who is FCN’s patron, has demonstrated his desire to support rural communities and to improve the long term sustainability of the countryside by launching the Prince’s Countryside Fund. It is his intention to inspire businesses and members of the public to become involved and to recognise the importance of the countryside to the nation’s well being and to the wider economy. Funding is coming from a range of businesses which have a clear link with food and agriculture and grants will be made for projects and for supporting the farming charities.
The official launch took place at St. James’s Palace and among those present was FCN’s Executive Director, Sarah Brown.
