RPA Progress with Single Payments

The Rural Payments Agency claims that some 70,000 farmers – which is almost two thirds of all claimants – had received their single payment by 31st December 2008.

The RPA claims that it is working towards a target of making 75% of all payments by value by the end of January.

Despite all this, it is clear that the settlement of a number of claims is going wrong and causing concern and problems for quite a number of farming households.
